Adelboden

72 ski lifts, 11 chairlifts, 210 km of slopes, 300 km of hiking trails and numerous Gault Millau points: Welcome to Adelboden. If you are a thrill-seeker looking for action, don’t look any further. In both summer and winter alike, the mountain region offers a wide range of sports activities – on foot, by bicycle, scooter or on skis.

Winter sports fans can admire the beautiful mountain panorama of the ski region, which is made up of several sub-regions, either from the sledge runs, the slopes, the Funpark or from the cross-country ski tracks. A special winter highlight is the Audi FIS Ski World Cup Adelboden. For two days, the Chuenisbärgli is transformed into a hive of activity welcoming the most important event of the year. Ski fans from all over the world gather in the Bernese Oberland to celebrate along the race track, in the finish area as well as in the World Cup village.

If you are interested in culture, you simply can’t miss the various events and concerts, such as the Vogellisi Festival in summer – named after Vogellisi, an old wise woman who lived in the most remote part of Adelboden and who was always accompanied by a raven until her death. There are also various concerts with traditional or classical music. Both the “Classic Cars & Music Days” and the Vintage Car Rally draw car fans from all over Switzerland and the neighbouring countries to the region.
