The route for this walk skirts the idyllic mountain village of Grindelwald and meanders along the foot of Wetterhorn mountain to the Grosse Scheidegg pass. Take in the breathtaking views of the upper Grindelwald glacier, the First ski area and Schynige Platte as you hike across alpine meadows and through snow covered woods.
The rustic Ischboden mountain hut is the perfect opportunity for refreshments and for visiting the Grindelwald alpine bird sanctuary, all of which is set against the world-famous vista of the Eiger north face. The return route leads back down to the Wetterhorn car park to round off an unforgettable winter experience.
