A warm oven, wood-panelled ceilings, the tick-tock of a grandfather clock. For a true taste of bygone days, simply step into the fully furnished apartment in the 1783 "Stöckli" – a smallish house on Swiss farms traditionally used to house the retired farming couple. Trubschachen's museum of local history is also home to a pottery workshop, where your team can get creative. Moreover, the typical Emmental hamlet in Trubschachen is an ideal starting point for hikes and bike tours.

Flag throwing is one of Switzerland's oldest national sports. Let your team of between 20 and 120 people try their hand at this archetypal Swiss custom, supported and guided by professional flag throwers. Gather at the "Arena" with superb mountain views – or under cover in bad weather – where each team practices their own choreographed routine and performs it in front of the group. A lively event!

Jodeln, Gstaad

Even if a lone whoop has little to do with yodelling, it is a good start and it is certainly liberating! Ideally part of a two-component event, the Gstaad yodelling course strikes a humorous note and offers a welcome change from daily routine for your team of up to 20 people. Outside, surrounded by nature – or alternatively under cover – your group will learn the basic principles of traditional Swiss singing and folk music during an introductory yodelling course and alphorn workshop.

A silhouette papercut isn't just a delicate artwork, it also tells a story about life and work in the mountains. During summer, Berghaus Iffigenalp offers an opportunity to gain insight into this craft. In her workshops for small groups of up to four people, Elisabeth Beutler introduces visitors to the art of making silhouette papercuts. Participants can then take their own framed cut home as a souvenir. Groups in excess of four people can attend a talk to learn more about this fascinating craft.
