Winter magic in mountain huts

Would you like to reach for the stars with your team? At Gantrisch Nature Park you have an unimpeded view of the firmament and can gaze at the Milky Way with the naked eye. Stockhütte Gurnigel offers overnight stays for groups of up to 39 people. The "Darkness Experience" has something for everyone – from guided tours of the observatory to night-time excursions into the "dark heart" of the park.

The spectacular glacier lounge Refuge l’Espace near the Glacier3000 mountain station is located at 2860 metres above sea level. Just getting there is an experience in itself. You can walk along the Glacier Walk in about 45 minutes, or you can take the snow bus, helicopter or light aircraft. The welcoming hosts are more than happy to help you organise exclusive events for up to 30 people. If you are lucky, you might even be greeted by a pair of bearded vultures.

An excursion to the Tschärzis mountain hut above Gstaad is guaranteed to be an unforgettable team experience. The authentic alpine hut is located near Lake Arnen at 1400 metres above sea level. The journey up there can be organised as you wish: minibus, helicopter, horse-drawn carriage ride or even snowshoes. Culinary delights include traditional Swiss dishes and regional specialities.

A "pinnacle of pleasure" is the strapline of the Wasserngrat mountain restaurant, and it is certainly a fitting slogan given that at an altitude of 1920 metres, the view of the surrounding peaks really is a pleasure in itself. The restaurant seats up to 160 people inside, with space for up to 250 guests on the two levels of the terrace outside. You may well want to start off with a glass of champagne or mulled wine down at the chairlift valley station. In only seven minutes you will then find yourself at the Wasserngrat.

Still an insider tip: The EGGLI mountain restaurant is quick to reach using the gondola lift by the same name; after all, the valley station is just a few minutes from the village centre of Gstaad. The kitchen has a selection of creative culinary options on offer – whether in the mountain restaurant with its sunny south-facing terrace or the exclusive EGGLI Lounge.

At the alpine restaurant Balis on Balisalp in the skiing region of Meiringen-Hasliberg, everyone is warmly welcomed as a "mountain friend". Indeed, among the welcoming hosts, mountain friendship is not an empty phrase. With a team event at the Balis you are guaranteed a genuinely hearty selection of dishes: from a traditional alpine farmer’s breakfast with Rösti to home-made cheese tart and legendary platters packed with local alpine cheeses and shavings of Hobelkäse.

If you and your team have yet to discover the Chalet-Hotel Schwarzwaldalp located in the romantic Rosenlaui valley, then you must head straight for the heart of Switzerland and the Haslital. Once you reach this magical winter wonderland, all kinds of snow-based activities await your team, with something to suit every mood. After a warming drink by the open fire you will enjoy delicious menus and home-made desserts in the cosy, rustic restaurant.

The cosy and rustic Berghaus Elsigenalp at 1794 metres above sea is centrally located in the Elsigen-Metsch ski area. Come and enjoy time together over a delicious meal or hold a seminar in the newly renovated self-service section. And there is plenty of team fun to be had in the snow! The house is right beside a ski piste. After your event, you and your team can even spend the night in the Berghaus rooms.

Alpine chic meets tradition on the high plateau of Engstligenalp. The Raclette Hut situated close to Berghotel Engstligenalp offers space for up to 80 people – making it ideal for a convivial company event or a special get-together for your society. Those who want to get some exercise in before the hearty meal can simply combine it with a round of cross-country skiing, a snowshoe trek or a winter hike.

Hike through unspoilt nature to reach the cosy Alp hut on Bonderalp. Here, at close to 1700 metres above sea, you can enjoy the fascinating views onto the village of Adelboden and the surrounding mountains. To round off the experience, you and your team can refuel with a hearty Fondue or Alpine macaroni. The snowshoe trek is adapted to suit your requirements. Hiking at dusk or even at night when there's a full moon can be a particularly memorable experience.
