Lenk-Simmental

Every year 20,000 cheese loafs are produced here at 680 to 3243 m.a.s.l., but Lenk-Simmental offers even more: sports, cuisine and exciting events.

At Lenk, there are family-friendly activities in abundance – in every season. Whether it is curling, the alpine play area or cross-country skiing, fun is always at the forefront. There is also no shortage of unforgettable events: from the musical highlights of the Jazz Days Lenk in summer to the pure excitement of the international sled dog racing in winter. If you are looking for adventure, you will find plenty of it at the lofty heights of the Stockhorn. The climbing parks, bungee jumping and paragliding on this 2190-metre-high mountain will make your heart beat faster.

Enjoy the views and savour the moment

Hikers can watch the groundhogs sleeping while the Wildstrubel glacier is laid bare in front of their eyes. Various mountain herbs grow along the wayside. Whether it is the intense sunlight or the fertile ground, the aromatic panacea thrives in this environment. A tour through the Simmental’s nature is worthwhile.
