Brandsee on Elsigenalp surprises visitors from mid-June to mid-August with an alpine beach at 1,800 metres above sea level in summer. Here you can swim, stand-up paddle and relax. Children can enjoy the large water slide, while several fire pits invite you to barbecue. In fine weather, the bistro is open. The path from the mountain station to Lake Brand is also suitable for pushchairs and wheelchairs.

At Schwäbis river pool in Thun, experienced swimmers can swim in a short, calm stretch of the River Aare. The swimming pool also has areas for swimmers and non-swimmers. Children can enjoy a paddling pool, slide, sandpit and play area with table tennis. Sun loungers and parasols are available to rent for relaxing hours by the water.
