Mürren

Mürren

Around 400 inhabitants call the charming chalets of Mürren their home. The village is accessible by double-cable ropeway from Lauterbrunnen or by cable car from Stechelberg.

Mürren’s views onto the Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau are stunning all year round. This is also the setting for the village festival, which takes place at the first weekend in August. The inhabitants dress up, cows are decorated with flowers and music accompanies the traditional procession. A hike to the idyllic lake Grauseeli is a good way to explore the surroundings and also covers parts of the Inferno Triathlon route. Or how about a tour to the Sprutz waterfall which ends with a thunderous refreshment? In winter, Mürren is also not short on activities thanks to the ski and snowboard slopes as well as the sledding trails. The Mürren Alpine Sports Centre with its indoor pool and spa makes for an ideal alternative programme – and not just if the weather is bad.
