108 metres in 25 seconds: a lift transports visitors at high speed to the summit of the Jungfrauchjoch. Here, the Sphinx Oberservation Deck offers unique views onto the Swiss Mittelland, the Vosges, the Aletsch glacier and the surrounding 4000 m peaks.

Thrill Walk

From Mürren up to the Schilthorn – and right in the middle at the Birg middle station, the Thrill Walk awaits you. The 200-metre walkway clings to the rock face and takes you across glass floors, steel grates and a nine-metre rope bridge. An eight-metre crawl tunnel completes the experience. Take your time to capture spectacular photos. Admission is free and can easily be combined with a relaxing break on the panoramic terrace.

The Skyline Walk viewing platform on the Schilthorn takes you right over the edge, offering breathtaking views of more than 200 mountain peaks. The delicate steel-and-glass structure blends elegantly into the rocky landscape. For a more relaxed way to take it all in, enjoy the sweeping panorama from the iconic rotating restaurant Piz Gloria.

The First Cliff Walk is a walkway that stretches from the west side of the summit to the mountain restaurant. Those who circle the summit of the First and dare to walk on its walkway which stretches over 45 meters along the side of the mountain will be richly rewarded. The view expands over rocks and pastures to the Eiger.

The vantage platform is enthroned at the top of the First peak and offers a unique all-round view of the Bernese Alps. A short walk leads from the First mountain station to the slightly higher metal building in the shape of a windmill. After the entrance, each of the seven “rotor blades”, which are offset in height, focuses on a particular section of the Alpine ring

In front of a majestic backdrop the Royal Walk brings visitors to the summit of the Männlichen. On the way, visitors pass information points where they learn fascinating and amusing facts about the area. Once they have reached the summit, a platform shaped like a crown offers views onto the legendary three mountains Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau.
