BERN2024 – FEI Vaulting Word and European Championships
16 – 21 July 2024
Athletes perform athletic and artistic feats on a horse galloping in a circle in harmony with the rhythm of the horse and the music. The World Championships in all categories for the Elite age group and the European Championships for Juniors (up to 18 years) and Young Vaulters (up to 21 years) will be held in Bern in 2024. You have the unique opportunity to experience the performances of the best vaulters in the world in Switzerland! In order to create the right conditions for such a competition, the PostFinance Arena, the hall of the SCB ice hockey club, will be specially converted into an equestrian sports hall and the ice will be replaced with sand. The organization team expects competitors from 25 countries, 130 horses and many fans.
World-class vaulting competitions with public opening ceremony
The World and European Championships begin on Tuesday 16th July with a public opening ceremony on the Bundesplatz. The actual competition will take place from Wednesday 17th July to Sunday 21st July. There will be one competition for individual vaulters, pas-de-deux (team of two) and squad per category. The athletes put on breathtaking performances at the highest level of difficulty – and make everything look harmonious and easy.
Various snack and catering options and stands ensure an enjoyable and varied day. Of course, there will also be an opportunity to try out vaulting for yourself on a wooden practice horse.
