Schönried

The centre of Schönried’s village is the ideal starting point to discover the varied adventures the surrounding area holds. In winter, you can polish the nature ice rink during a game of curling. After that, burn off any excess energy on the 18-km-long cross-country skiing trail between Schönried and Saanenmöser. And after all these physical activities, you deserve a treat: culinary delights are available around every corner in Gstaad, the land of fondues.

With 105 kilometres of slopes, Schönried’s local mountain is the largest ski area in the region and offers plenty of space for skiers and snowboarders to enjoy the snow in winter. However, a visit up the mountain is also worthwhile in summer: the slopes turn into beautiful paths for high-altitude and mountain ridge hikes. The Horneggli also offers a large variety of entertainment: the Alp Festival, the Hornfluh climbing park and the ski safari offer plenty of fun to pass your time.
