Zweisimmen

Zweisimmen is not only located at the confluence of the two rivers, it lies also at the junction between Lenk and Gstaad. Almost 250 km of slopes are available for visitors to enjoy. The ski area stretches from Zweisimmen to Schönried and enthrals both skiers and snowboarders with a variety of perfectly groomed slopes. Cross-country skiers are equally delighted with a total of 28 km of cross-country skiing trails.

An absolute delight for toboggan fans is the 7-km-long toboggan run in Sparenmoos-Zweisimmen which leads past a snow-covered fairy-tale landscape. The alternative for the summer months is the descent into the valley from the Berghotel by scooter, the so-called "Trottinetts", where riders can enjoy nature’s scenery. On the Obersimmental Home Trail, visitors can admire the craftmanship of the houses, such as their façade paintings and their wood carvings. The "Golden Pass" panoramic train line takes visitors on a longer excursion either to Lucerne or Montreux.

A trip to the Seeberg Lake is a must! With its clear waters, it blends in perfectly with the surrounding scenery and spreads holiday atmosphere, particularly in summer. An excursion from the lake to the Stierenberg alpine hut is also worthwhile and can be completed either on foot or by mountain bike. The many high-altitude hiking trails, which impress with fantastic views, are characteristic of the surrounding area and are perfect for a stroll.
