Baroque heritage and living traditions

The village of Bellelay, located in a peaceful setting to the east of the Grand Chasseral, has been a spiritual and cultural centre since the 12th century, centred around the abbey, whose baroque church impresses with its elegance. This historic site now hosts contemporary exhibitions and concerts while retaining its original soul. Guided tours provide an insight into the architecture, the symbolism and the central role that the abbey played in the region.
